The food is usually good but not top-notch. The employees do a great job of keeping the dining area clean, the bathrooms need help sometimes though.
*FYI, I always order my tacos plain, no extra sauces, veggies, nothing but the shell, the meat fillings and the bit of cheese they add when grilling it. So I am really able to taste the filling without anything else getting in the way.
I really like eating here. The service is quick and the staff are generally kind. It gets really busy around lunch time and can take upward of 30 minutes to get your food, but you can order online or call ahead for faster service. Food is excellent! Price is very good for the quality and quantity of food. Specials offered daily at a reduced price.
My biggest thing I wish they'd improve is that it always feels so rushed to order my food, and there have been several times where the food servers ask what I want, but then just made the decision for me before I could answer back because they're in such a hurry (I usually answer fast because I know what I like). As a result, I didn't get what I had come for and the food wasn't hot anymore because the food servers rushed so much but then my meal got held up by the register because it couldn't keep up with the speed of the food line.
The food is delicious. Service has been struggling this year. I'm a regular and understand that in a student town such as Logan there's a lot of staff turn over and new people on deck. But the service shouldn't be as consistently slow and spotty as it's been. The rewards program helps keep me coming back, but the overall service needs improvement.
I was incredibly disappointed when I ordered 2 shredded beef tacos a few days ago. The filling was so watery, the shell was soggy and falling apart. I removed one taco from the foil wrapper, just pulled the taco out from one end, and found the wrapper filled with pale brown "water". To make matters worse there was no flavor in the filling, at all.
About 2 weeks before this visit in Logan I had ordered the same shredded beef taco from the Layton, UT Cafe Rio. THAT taco was full of flavor! It was cooked perfectly, tons of flavor and was, in no way, soggy. After truly enjoying that wonderful taco in Layton I was really looking forward to having a similar experience in Logan. SO DISAPPOINTED!
I'm not a huge Cafe Rio person as it is, but that has nothing to do with my review. I actually was really disappointed in the service. The girl that was doing my food was incredibly rude and didn't listen to me at all. I asked her for two sides of sour cream in cups and guacamole in a cup. She looked at me as if I was a crazy person and then smothered my burrito in sour cream and put the guacamole on top. I made it abundantly clear that I needed cups. they were for my kids. So I then had to scrape all of the sour cream off that now had spicy salsa on it, and ask someone else for sour cream. It was a small thing but it really put me off!
