Butchered my ankle. My arthroscopic surgery was supposed to be 30 minutes, but it turned into 2.5 hours when he broke a tool off in my leg, then proceeded to open the ankle in two spots. Then he sewed me up terribly, leaving huge incisions (about 1/4" by 4"). I ended up getting infected. Then they sent me all the bills for it. Horrible surgeon. I've heard similar stories from other people too. Stay away at all costs!
