By using the laser Dr Monson was able to correct my atigmatism which I understand can not be done with the traditional cataract surgery using a scalpel.
I guess my overall point is that before now I could rarely or maybe NEVER say that I had a great experience at an eye doctor. It's something I have dreaded since I was 7 years old. I have very bad vision and sensitive eyes. But Dr. Monson and his staff made it a wonderful experience and presented some great solutions to my problems. I can actually say that I look forward to going back. That is a first for me with eye doctors.
I have noticed a lot of the reviews here are concerning Dr. Hammond. He is no longer there. I went in for a simple free Lasik Consultation with Dr. Monson and found him to be absolutely kind and professional about everything! His staff was also very nice and efficient. I thought they made the overall process easy. I saw some negative reviews below about them not being clear about insurance and pricing, but I did not get that impression at all. They were very clear and to the point about everything. I thought they had a great staff!
It was just nice in this office to see that Dr. Monson takes the time to address all of my concerns and my personal situation rather than just saying OKAY, YOUR A CANDIDATE, LETS GET YOU SIGNED UP! I had a great experience there and would recommend that anyone go see Dr. Monson if you are considering Lasik or other corrective surgery. He does a great job at making you fee at ease with the situation and he explains all procedures very well with a model eye so you can see exactly what is going on.
At the time of the surgery they are very caring and professional. They treat you with respect and care from the Receptionist to the recovery nurse.
A family member of mine went 'somewhere else' to get a Lasik Consult recently and she was in and out in 5 minutes. They just said you are a great candidate for Lasik, lets do this..... That left her with many concerns and questions.

I had a wonderful experience at Logan Eye Institute. Dr. Monson took the time to talk to me for 15 or 20 minutes about all of the concerns I have about my eyes and whether Lasik was right for me even though I was a "candidate". He ended up saying that I would also be a good candidate for ICL (implantable Contact Lenses). I had concerns about how Lasik would effect my eyes long term since I am in my twenties. He explained that ICL would make it so there would be no physical change to my eye so I would be open for future Tech. advances in the industry. ICL is a little bit more expensive in some situations than Lasik, but it sounds like with their technology it would be a great alternative for me. It was nice that he took the time to identify that and present all of the options based on my situation and concerns.

I am very pleased with my eyes. I had a little pain for a few hours after surgery but taking a Tylenol relieved it. I did as they instructed and had no problems. I can now read without glasses and drive at night which I had stopped doing due to the lights mainly.
I had my cataracts done October 2017 by Dr Bryan Monson using the laser. I recommend anyone considering laser surgery to have it done here at Logan Eye Institute. They are very thorough before surgery. They explain the procedures in plain English for better understanding. They answer questions willingly and professionally. They never make you feel like you're being rushed.
