This is not my first experience with Doug Smith, as he has been my dentist for years, but I do want to let others know that Doug is a dentist in Logan Utah who has always been friendly and likable. To me this is an important quality in a dentist. Yes, I try to avoid going to a dentist, but it’s nice to know that when I do I’m in good company.
We have gone to Dr. Smith for several years and find him to be excellent in his service and knowledge. He is very pleasant to talk to and makes you feel at ease as he is working on your teeth. His staff is very efficient and love going to his office for our dental work. Highly recommend him for your dental needs.

Thursday I started noticing a pain in my tooth and by Friday night it was keeping me from sleeping. I try to avoid going to the dentist – haven’t been in 6 years – but I broke down and set an appointment (I guess I dislike living in pain worse than going to a dentist).
The main problem that caused my wife and I to go elsewhere was due to the regular cleanings being absolutely brutal. Every time both of us left with bloody mouths and chewed up gums. I've never experienced such rough cleaning procedures at other dentists. As far as repairs went I think he did a good job. I had him do probably 8 fillings, a root canal, and a crown over 4 years. However I didn't feel that they spent enough time explaining what they were doing or why or what options I had. Also, not once did I get to see my xrays without turning around to see the monitor located directly behind the exam chair. My wife said the new dentist she's started going to now is 100% better.
I have had a lifetime of tooth issues, seen many dentists, but Dr. Smith is the best I have seen. I switched to Dr. Smith when I was concerned about fraudulent practices at another dentist's office in Logan where I was a patient. Dr. Smith is very straightforward, his office is simple with low overhead, and I have been very pleased with him as a dentist. I would very much recommend his practice.
Doug’s staff is professional and friendly as well. It is evident that Doug is a very skilled dentist. I was impressed with how quickly the filling procedure went. I recommend Doug Smith to anyone looking for a great dentist in the Logan area.
