Needed to talk to someone about a lost driver license and after going through the entire recording, there wasn't an option to speak with a real person! So frustrating!
That was the first part of the conversation, I should know by now it's the time for me to leave instead of keep wasting my time for another question. The second one is I need to transfer my MA DL to UT DL.( I moved here from another state before and had UT DL ). I wasnt so sure what they need to transfer DL. I understand every states is different, all the other State I moved to just need to retake the picture and proof of residence. I dont mind to retake the test, but the way he rudely talked to me was very unprofessional
Even though there was construction
My relative just arrived to US few months ago and she wants to get her DL. I know that some states( i.e CA,Maryland) provide bilingual handbook for people to practice so I come to ask if they have it here. When I ask the man at the front. He replied with a mocking tone" no, Utah's DMV only provides DL test in English so our goverment doesnt have to pay for 150+ languages!" (Oh well, I pay tax so does my relative who went to work already! If we're paying tax and the government do not use it to serve the citizens then it's called Communist! Also it's not your job to remind me about State's budget, Sir!) I wasnt in the mood to argue with him and I dont think he was worth my time to do that. I only politely explained to him, we dont need interpretting services and willing to take the test in English. We just need billingual handbook so my realative can study easier. But he did not mind my question nor listen to me.
Staff was polite and professional. Check in lady was friendly and kind. The woman who actually helped me seamed in a bad mood but it didn't affect her work. Busy but too busy. Facilities in good shape. Wait was reasonable. Some of the posters are out dated with old laws etc.
Your visit to the DLD will be as smooth as you make it. As long as you prepare properly, you'll be in and out rather quickly (wait times were a bit long, especially if you have to restart since your address is different). DO NOT expect to come in and renew your license without the necessary materials! Bring your glasses or contacts if you need them to drive.
I've had nothing but good experiences with the Logan DLD. In the past couple weeks I've taken the steps necessary to get my motorcycle endorsement and the process is surprisingly easy. All the employees were nice and as accommodating as they could be. The only hiccup I ran in to was some issues with address; make sure you either a) update your address online or b) take two pieces of proof of address with you when you go in or else they won't be able to help you. Make sure to have access to your social security number as well - I tried leaving it blank but it is required.
Dont come here if you're not Caucasian nor speak perfectly English. They have problem with attitude in this place. If you meet the man in the front with bald head, dont bother talk to him!
Did I mention that the air conditioning worked like a charm.
