Melanie Elder was by far the worst most unprofessional social worker I had ever dealt with. She will show up 15 minutes late then end the 1 hour meeting about 15-30 early. The one question she never failed to ask was "are you working" . She was motivated by money. She wasn't interested in helping people. The clinic was on a sliding scale and she was only interested in being paid. She doesn't care about anyone but herself. So she would always ask that question so she can charge you more money so she can make more. Her first question was never "How have you been". Instead it's "are you working" only because her primary objective was to make money off of you. She was very selfish. Additionally, she had many biases that made her unfit for her duties. She was bias in favor of the LDS church, for women, and she actually didn't like LGBTQ (although she would never admit it). She never accepted LGBTQ only barely tolerates them. She had a lot of prejudice which made her a terrible therapist. Therapists should be as impartial as possible. If you're a man and you go to her complaining about a women she will never side with you. You'll have to find a male therapist. She was more than just a waste of time. She actually caused more harm than good. And I'm just one of many who dealt with her. Can you imagine how many more lives she caused more unnecessary grief and suffering? They should fire her. She doesn't have the necessary skills for such a job. She actually told me that gay people should not be in the church. I was absolutely horrified with Melanie Elder. She's not very professional and she's 100% unsuitable for the job. She knows not what she does. Like going to a barber shop for open heart surgery
